Stories emerging today come with the headline that Spurs might be plotting a £20m raid on Wolves over the summer. Without wanting to be too disparaging as far as the West Midlands club are concerned, at first glance it might seem that £20m would be enough to buy the whole squad.
But no, the reports go on to claim that that fee would just about be enough to prise away two players – Matt Jarvis and Steven Fletcher.
Jarvis was mentioned on here about a week ago and although comments were mixed, most weren’t all that complimentary. As for Fletcher, he’s been a decent goal poacher for Wolves and one whom the club have stated isn’t for sale.
Perhaps if £20m is correct, it’s been placed on their heads as a ‘hands off’ fee. Spurs might be looking for players in their positions but at that price will surely look elsewhere.
With all due respect i think it’s not even worth reporting such rumours tbh – can you honestly see Spurs signing two players from relegated Wolves at such an inflated price ?.
Not a hope in hell,they aren’t good enough for Spurs (4th placed Premiership team so quite rightly should be looking at CL players).
