Rafael van der Vaart has spoken once again about his future but is this the clearest indication yet that the Dutchman will be a Spurs player next season? As he spoke to the press, Rafa talked of exciting times at the Lane and insists that he wants to be a part of it all.

“My place is at Spurs, I want to win the title with this club,” Van der Vaart said in The Sun. “Each summer my name appears in the transfer market.

“The race for the top four will be a total war from the very first day.”

Rafa is also expecting Tottenham under AVB to be a thrilling sight for fans.

“The new coach has good plans for me and this is important,” he added. “I have heard excellent reports about AVB.

“We have very good attacking and if AVB imposes an offensive system the team could be a real spectacle.”

VDV always brings a mixed reaction from supporters but this must surely be the best news yet for those who are loyal fans of the player.

  1. I actually though he may be off, though I’m glad it looks like he is staying.
I love the man and his commitment, not the quickest player in the world, but without doubt hugely talented.
All we need is to get in 2 strikers and a winger that can operate on both flanks, and I think we’re set.
I still want to see us put in a bid for Ba, as i think he could score more than Adebayor, but I’m not going to be too upset if we sign Manu as he was class last season.
Photos on Twitter of AVB stood with Hulk in St.Albans last night, though I believe he was there to speak with Sandro and was just having a catch up with his old mate Hulk.
I’m dreaming a bit I know, but Hulk and Moutinho in and Modric out would be good business, a front 3 of Bale, Hulk and Adebayor would be awsome, if not expensive.
    Still, the future looks bright…..
