Malaga midfielder and alleged Tottenham target Isco may leave the La Liga side in January, according to the club’s Sporting Director.
Mario Husillos has indicated that Malaga would not be able to stand in the player’s way should the 21 million Euro buy-out clause be activated.
“He is our player and is important for the team. He is not on the market,” Husillos said.
“We want to keep him here but you all know there is a buyout clause in his contract. So, if a club pays the clause, it does not depend on us anymore.”
Naturally, the player himself maintains that his focus is on Malaga,
“Malaga is on everyone’s mouth now because of great displays in the Champions League,” Isco claimed.
“Besides, I have had two good performances and that’s why my name has been heard more than anyone. I just have my mind on Malaga.”
Meanwhile, Isco is thought to have been watched by Tim Sherwood and by Roberto Mancini recently and January will tell us whether he will remain a Malaga player for the remainder of 2012-13.
