Willian the Brazilian has put both Tottenham and Chelsea on alert with suggestions that the Shakhtar man wants to come to London and test his abilities in the Premiership. Willian is in a side that is dominating Ukraine’s domestic league with 12 wins from 12 but he feels a move would bring him back under the international radar.

“Everybody knows what my goal is. I’ve clearly stated that I would like to play in a bigger stage, whether it be England, Spain or Italy,” Willian said. “I want to come back to the national team, and being in a bigger spotlight would help me get noticed.”

The winger admitted that choosing between Chelsea and Spurs would be difficult but that he has been in contact with Andre Villas-Boas previously.

“Tottenham is a big club and it has a good person in charge. Andre Villas-Boas wanted to bring me to Chelsea and also tried at Tottenham,” he added.

“He always sends me messages. We are always in touch, and he has become a friend, for sure.”

Willian will be in action for Shakhtar against Chelsea in the Champions League and the game will be a perfect platform with which to highlight his credentials.
