Is it time to take a chance on Iago?

There hasn’t exactly been a clamour to give Iago Falque a run in the Spurs side – for now it seems like just a couple of reports from one website – but the Spaniard is one of just a few players who helped his cause at Norwich last night.

The 22 year old earned plenty of praise on social media but was the performance enough to guarantee an extended run as part of the first team squad?

After the Maribor game last week, AVB was quick to offer his own praise.

“He had an extremely good game. He had his first game against Carlisle.

“This is his second game against stronger opposition this season. He did extremely well.

“His performance made the link-up player better for us. He is a certainly someone we can count on.”

Options in the side may be limited for the former Juventus man and he’s not exactly going to play instead of Bale on the left. However, as an attacking midfielder some are saying that he gives a better option than Gylfi Sigurdsson so is it time to take that chance?

I did think at the start of this campaign it would be a good time to assess the squad what with it being a new regime. See if any of these young players are any use. I would like to see him on in the second half against wigan.

  3. Classy performer, still getting his feet under the Table.Likened to Luka Modric,The thru ball, can`t beat it !!
    Played with Johnny Haynes(Edmonton)old boys,School & my game was similar,Undo a defence,Watch Barca,Defoe no,another class C/F in January,if this lad proves my believes
spend money on “”Moussa Sissoko” & “Fernando Llorente”
    in January !!

Alrite kids calm down! Here we go again I suppose now we’ve got the new xavi in huddlestone and the new iniesta in falque now! Falques a decent youngster but get a grip man I’ll bet anyone he won’t play for the senior Spanish team. He should get a good few games though before January. As for tom ‘charlie adam’ huddlestone he’s pure crap and there’s a reason why stoke was the best team interested, same goes for Dawson with qpr. Levy is the problem and you’ll learn that soon if u don’t know already. Our transfers since 07 spent is 3 mil

  7. Edwin says:

Yes it’s time we gave our good youngsters a run in the 1st team.Ceballos is class himself,Falque is getting better and better,Townsend is good enough but I need to see Carroll come in because he has the skill bt needs games.
Defoe should not start Wigan game.Ade ,Bale,Lennon and Hudd should be our front guys.
