The rumour linking Wesley Sneijder with a January move to Spurs has dominated the headlines over the Christmas period and as we head into the New Year, there are mixed stories as to how much truth there is in these reports.
Speaking on Talksport, the station’s Italian football expert Tancredi Palermi claimed that a deal was close and he took to Twitter to give his opinion.
“Here the big market news: Sneijder agreed deal with Tottenham. and ready to move London asap. Waiting for Inter and Spurs to agree terms,” Palermi said.
However, the player’s representatives have moved to deny the claims.
“There is nothing, absolutely nothing true about that,” Sneijder’s man is quoted in Algemeen Dagblad.
That article also concludes with details of Sneijder’s salary – some ten million Euros a year and at present this seems to be a case of reality versus one man’s supposedly ITK opinion.

Not going to happen. I think the media just like to wind us Spurs fans up whenever there is a transfer window. It’s not impossible but the only way it is doable is if Sneijder reaises he is not going to get anywhere near that kind of money at Spurs. If he is looking for a pay rise why look at Spurs as a option? Would love him at WHL but sadly this is just a pipe dream. We could put him on a 100k per week and give him a massive signing on fee but we would have to agree a pretty low fee with inter, if we could do that and then give WS £6-£8 million as a signing on fee then maybe it is doable but it reminds me of the whole Hazard thing when he said Spurs were a option and in reality it was just to get the bidding to increase.
we need someone in january adebayor nad dempsey are weak links in this spurs team
SPURES NEED CASH IN JANUARY 6 TARGET TO SPURE WILL CHALENGE CHAMPION LEAGUE SPOT—- 1.ST—SOLDADO OR NIGARDO OR LLORIENTE OR EMERICK AUBAMEYANG 2.RW—–HULK OR GOTZE OR J.NAVAS OR ZAHA 3.-LW—INCE OR WILLIAN OR PERISIC OR MUNIUN OR ISCO OR DAVID VILLA 4.CM—-MOUNTINHO OR PJANIC OR SNEIJDER 5.CDM—-MVILLA OR JORDY CLASSIE 6.HAIDARA——OUT IN UNPROVE—ROSE- HUDDLESTONE- JENAS – BENTLAY – DEMPSEY
Hudd is still needed at the club cos he is the ONLY decent passer of the ball we’ve got.though he ain’t playing. We do not need all these, just get a striker, playmaker, left winger and a decent left back then we can compete favorably.
AVB has done well and we will continue supporting him.wish Levy does the same.
Tom Carroll is a great passer and is more attack minded than Huddlestone.
Tom Carrol is a comming man for Spurs and I would like to see more of him, have done well in the matches this season. COYS!
Dont think we need Snieijder or any other centre mid drop adebeyour and push Dembele behind defoe with parker alongside sandro. I would like us to bring in Zaha to put pressure on Lennon cheap wages too and will be world class in years to come

Sneijder is crap now yet he wants a pay rise, fuck him we dont need him i would rather Eriksen, Moutinho, Dzgoev or Willian. Zaha would be favourable too.
palace wacked a 20m price tag on zaha…
Interesting maths here but Sneijder actually wouldn’t be our highest paid player he currently earns six million euro’s. Inter want to get rid of him because they have to pay 11 million included taxes. But having said that I don’t think he would come to the Lane.
for sneijder to come to spurs we would pay Inter a nominal transfer fee and give him wacking great signing on fee +70k wages. the question is weather he is worth it.? He is unhappy at inter because they have still failed to pay the promised signing on fee said to be around 10 mill euro.would you still go to work if you we not getting paid..???? But it is not going to happen.
