Tottenham have already headed to Germany in this transfer window to pluck Lewis Holtby from Schalke 04 but could Andre Villas-Boas make another signing from the Bundesliga this month? The name being touted around is Son Heung-Min, a versatile South Korean International who is on the books at SV Hamburg.

Son can play either as a forward or on the right wing and at the age of just 20, he already holds 12 full international caps for South Korea – scoring once. Overall, that scoring record is modest – around one in every four games but it’s unclear as to how many of those matches have featured Son as an out-and-out forward.

The player is believed to be on offer at around 10 million Euros and it’s being suggested that he could arrive to put pressure on Aaron Lennon on the right wing. Reports from Germany indicate he is a tremendous prospect but time will tell if this is anything more than paper talk.

  1. Son Heung-Min look like a very exciting player and i think he would contribute more to spurs than Dempsey or sigudson he’s a very explosive player who can score from distance and play varied positions up front as a striker or behind the main striker and on the wings. I also dont like the fact that Spurs would not be willing to purchase a player like snieder because they think there would be no sell on value , This is silly because if we bought him now & put him in the team he would surely help us to qualify for the champions league and just being there would make the club millions of pounds which would pay for snieder anyway, age dose not matter if you are good enough.

  3. No offence, but surely we’re not looking to south east asia for centre forwards who are capable of holding up the ball in the premier league.
I really think it’s unlikely we’ll buy anyone this window. We’ll make do with Defoe, Ade and Dempsey for the rest of the season. Personally i’d stick with Defoe and Dempsey as much as possible and Gylfi can replace Dempsey if necessary. Ade’s been pretty rubbish since we signed him permanently, hope he improves when he gets back from Africa
