Having seen David Villa head for Atletico Madrid earlier this week, Tottenham are set to draw another blank after news that alleged target Jese Rodriguez is planning to stay with Real after speaking with new manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Despite having a ‘special relationship’ between the two clubs, it may have been an unlikely poach in any event, considering Daniel Levy’s stance on Gareth Bale and it’s hard to see Real being amenable to any offers emerging from White Hart Lane.
Jese, as he is commonly known by the fans, looks a real prospect and has stood out at Spanish under 20 level where the winger has averaged more than a goal a game. At 20 years of age, he has yet to make any sort of breakthrough at the Bernabeu and that’s why rumours of a move had begun.
However, as the Daily Star claim that Jese is staying put, the Express quotes the player and suggests that his future is still very much uncertain.
“I want to play, and I don’t know if I’ll get many minutes in the Real Madrid first team,” Rodriguez told the Spanish Press.
So who knows where anyone stands with Jese Rodriguez at the moment but while he looks a perfect addition to the squad, is a sale by Madrid really likely?
Obviously, no proven star wanna make a club that has cock on ball their new home…especially, when they’re always in the shadow of a bigger force.
