There was no Premiership football this weekend but as a Spurs fan you could have done a lot worse than switch on to Sky Sports on Saturday lunchtime and watch no fewer than three Tottenham players who are currently on loan at the County Ground.
Grant Hall, Ryan Mason and Alex Pritchard all started the match while recent Tottenham squad member Massimo Luongo also featured after making his switch to the County Ground a permanent one. All three loanees played their part but the undoubted star was Pritchard who fired his side into a first half lead with a stunning free kick from the right hand side of the field.
After the game, Swindon boss Mark Cooper singled Pricthard out for this praise.
“We had a plan. We knew they like to pass the ball and we tried to catch them on the break. If we had been better with the ball we could have scored one or two more. He’s got that ability Alex and hopefully there will be more to come. “
At 20, Alex Pritchard seems to have a bright future – whether that future will be at Spurs remains to be seen but if he keeps delivering free kicks such as this one then he may just make it at the top level.
I look forward to seeing him playing with Eriksen, in the first team soon.
I rate him ok. Heard about them too long without seeing more significant contributions.
