The international break has come and almost gone and Spurs fans are suddenly reminded of the need to put a recent disappointing performance behind us. Lewis Holtby is the latest player to come out and underline the need for a strong performance and three points when the club faces Aston Villa on Sunday.

Our previous two visits to Villa Park have resulted in 4-0 victories and Holtby himself was instrumental in the most recent win in the Capital One Cup.

“I’m definitely looking forward to going in that dressing room again because I’ve got good memories of it!” The German said.

“My family’s going to be there, so it’s going to be a good game to play, and I hope that I can be part of it.”

Lewis went on to insist that the players were determined to bounce back from their poor display last time out.

“I think we’re up for it. Especially everyone who played against West Ham is definitely looking to come back from the result we had. We must keep it out of our minds, and try to get a win,” he added.

“We’ve won twice at Aston Villa now, twice 4-0. But they will be up for it as well.”

4-0 to Spurs would be nice – 1-0 would be sufficient but would our chances of claiming three points improve if Lewis Hotlby were to start the game?

  1. We need Sandro more than Holtby. Although he should be one of the first subs.

    Lloris
    Walker – Vert – Kaboul – Rose
    Sandro – Paulinho
    Lamela – Eriksen – Townsend
    Soldado

    Subs
Holtby, Dawson, Naughton, Defoe, Sigurdsson, Friedel, Dembele
