With just over 24 hours to go before Spurs play Hull for the second time in a week, there is plenty of speculation over our possible starting XI but there seems to be a general consensus that Emmanuel Adebayor is set for his first appearance in a Spurs shirt this season.

The Togolese has played no part in the club’s campaign after initially receiving compassionate leave and on his return, it was felt that Ade was being frozen out by Andre Villas-Boas. With Roberto Soldado and Jermain Defoe both showing some form, the forward is some way away from being first choice at Tottenham but the Capital One Clash gives him a chance to prove to AVB that he’s far from finished.

Rumours persist of a move to Turkish football in January but is Emmanuel Adebayor the right frontman for tomorrow’s match and should he have some involvement in the remainder of Spurs’ Premiership season?

  1. Please, please, please give him a chance AVB even if hes not scoring his link up play could be crucial in our season arguably our best striker when at his best

    • yes dont like the bloke but you cant play defoe as a lone striker he cant hold the ball up so give him a chance along with lamela would like to see capoue as well if he is fit

  2. Agreed. Lets see if we can’t get him going. And why is it so hard for Lamela to see any real game time? I feel like all the other signings got thrust out there but not him for some reason.
