Spurs will be without four senior players as they prepare to face FC Sheriff in the Europa League tonight with Sandro, Danny Rose, Nacer Chadli and Zeki Fryers unavailable due to injury.

Referring to Sandro, head coach Andre Villas-Boas confirmed,

“He was substituted with some pain in his hamstring, so we’ve left him out of this game.

“Danny and Zeki have been making progress and Nacer is already back to a 50 per cent run, so we hope to see him available for selection for the City (?) game.”

A question will remain in goal with much fuss over Hugo Lloris this week while Younes Kaboul will be the only other player threatening the back five that started the game at Goodison.

Etienne Capoue could return in midfield alongside either Mousa Dembele or Paulinho but could this be the opportunity for AVB to try out a radical 4-4-2?

Harry Kane impressed a week ago in the Capital One Cup and is an option to partner Jermain Defoe up front. Defoe himself is striving to break Martin Chivers’ European Goal scoring record and is unlikely to be left out but will he have a lone role this evening?

Here’s what we’d like to see – it probably won’t happen – but what’s your view?
