Another long international break has come and gone and Spurs will now look to recover from their disappointing home defeat to Newcastle last time out. However, it’s a big ask as the club travel to the Etihad to face Manchester City on Sunday.

Team news is mixed ahead of the game with Christian Eriksen and Nacer Chadli definitely ruled out of the fixture. Meanwhile, there seems to be a slim hope that Danny Rose will be ready to return for this one but in all probability, Jan Vertonghen will continue to deputise in the left back slot.

Eariler today, City boss Manuel Pellegrini ruled out Spurs as title contenders stating,

“The Premier League is very close this year. There are six clubs challenging, with very little difference between one team and another.

“We have a lot of points to fight for, and I think at the end it will be between Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City.”

The bookmakers don’t fancy Tottenham’s chances and have rated AVB’s men as rank outsiders for the three points at a best of 9/2 with BetVictor. Meanwhile, City are at 7/10 with William Hill while the draw is at 31/10 with BetVictor again.

Are you tempted by any of those prices or will it be another fruitless afternoon for the visitors?

  1. Looks like 3 Points at the Etihad for spurs then Manuel Pellegrini can write off spurs chances anytime he wants considering we are still above them in the table.
