One of the few disappointments from Sunday’s 2-2 draw was to see Roberto Soldado fire high and wide into the crowd when the goal, and 2-0, was gaping. The Spanish international has spoken before about his desire for goals and has previously acknowledged that this isn’t quite the start that he’d been hoping for.

“I have scored six goals but I would like to score many more,’ Soldado said back in November. I am a realist and I know that on the pitch I am not happy with everything.”

Fast forward two weeks and it’s a similar story with the striker promising that there’s more to come.

“I want to score more goals than I am doing at the moment. That is why they signed me,” Roberto told reporters.

“I have been doing it all my career. I haven’t done so far here, but I am convinced I will get there.”

Stories today suggest that AVB may switch to 4-4-2 and that may well take pressure off the Spaniard but where can he improve? Is there an issue with service or will that simple change to a more attacking formation help us to see the best of Roberto Soldado?
