Not Arjen Robben who was almost permanently connected with Spurs a couple of years back – this time, we are rumoured to be heading towards the other end of the age spectrum and looking at a bid for 19 year old Julian Green

The American international was born in Florida but holds dual citizenship with Germany and has been with Bayern since 2010. He’s only made one senior appearance for the club, as an 88th minute sub in a Champions League tie but what is interesting is his record for the B team which shows 15 goals in 23 matches.

Green has also won two caps for the United States national team and will travel to the World Cup where it will be interesting to monitor his progress.

Apparently, the link has emerged because Mauricio Pochettino was monitoring the player while at Southampton and with the winger looking for a move that would secure first team football, Spurs are allegedly poised with a £5m bid.

It’s an interesting link with a player who looks a real prospect but who would make way for another wide man?

  1. I like it. Send him out on loan for a year at a team like QPR and bring him back for 2015/16 and I think we’d have ourselves a star.
