Stories linking Erik Lamela with a move away from White Hart Lane are set to persist throughout the summer but if a latest report is true, it gives us a real insight into Mauricio Pochettino’s plans for the player and for the coming season.

The story, which seems to have originated in the Daily Mirror, claims that Spurs have rejected a firm offer for the Argentine and it goes on to hint that the player is very much part of Pochettino’s plans for the coming campaign.

That would suggest that Erik stays but it could also mean that Juve, along with other potential suitors such as Napoli and Roma, are falling some way below the asking price for the 22 year old. Tottenham paid a club record 30 million euros for Lamela in 2013 and Daniel Levy is unlikely to want to take too much of a hit, despite a shaky first season in England.

This one will continue but will Erik Lamela be part of the Spurs squad in 2014-15?

  1. And so he should be, bloody hell we know he is very talented. He is going to be very good next season. Verrrryyyy GoooooddddHHXX

  2. Lamela has an immense potential. He is part of the package that offers great hope to Spurs fans.

I wish we’d hear more about the strikers we need to obtain.
It wouls also be good to hear they are working on moving Adebayor out.

  3. I think lamela has immense talent and will show it next season and flourish under pochettino. This article again is based on nothing and the reporters need to give spurs a rest now and ease off. Pochetinno will make the side play nice high tempo attacking football. The Spurs way Coys…

  4. Lamela will be young player of year just needs a big arm round shoulder and a cuddle hell I will cuddle the argie if he gets us in the top 4

  5. Lamella has to be there next season we paid 30m and we haven’t seen a thing yet, if you move for that kind of money and don’t want to prove people wrong then there must be something wrong with you, I hope we get to see live what’s on YouTube, that will push one up the pipes of the wollwich wankers COYS
