It had been widely reported at the beginning of the week that Jake Livermore would complete his transfer from Spurs to Hull and that deal has now been confirmed – or at least it has been by the Tigers.

At the time of writing there is no official word from Spurs but the Hull announcement seals the deal and it brings to an end Livermore’s six years as a professional at White Hart Lane. The fee is undisclosed but it’s a club record for City so could be approaching somewhere in the region of £8m.

At the start of last season, an influx of seven new signings made the player’s path into the first team even harder to unblock and after an impressive spell under Steve Bruce, this move seemed a logical one for all concerned.

We wish Jake all the best as he makes the move.

  1. Good luck Jake.Limited ability but a good squad player and clubman who never caused any problems whilst at Spurs.Such a shame he was not an FA Cup winner this past season. That is approx £15M for him and Defoe.Let’s spend it and wisely, but I won’t hold my breath.Over to you Mr.Levy.

  2. You can add Dembele to Akshayaalase’s list.Played for Belgium in exactly the same way as for us- sideways and backwards. The most over rated player in recent Tottenham history.Never an end product.

    • Dembelee under pochetino may b a much better player as will have to put in a decent shift or hes off, same for paulinho if he stays. Good players though. Good luck to livermore at Hull, deserves to be playing first team football and a good young loyal player from our team. Coys invest in a left back…

  3. With Chris Ramsey and Les Ferdinand leaving and now Jake Livermore for 6 mil is fantastic news and hopefully what will be a new and exciting season for us. Now get rid of the rest of the English deadwood I.e Lennon,Dawson,Naughton and Rose an replace them with some real quality an dare I say it we could be looking at a top four finish. COYS!!
