Roberto Soldado gave Tottenham Hotspur the perfect start against Fiorentina with a beautiful volley after just six minutes of play at White Hart Lane.
Spurs’ excellent opening half hour wasn’t enough to give the hosts a comfortable lead, and Fiorentina equalised soon after.
Despite Tottenham’s mostly tepid performance, particularly in the second half, Soldado’s goal was a moment of class. The striker slammed home Paulinho’s guided corner to the delight of the home fans. Here’s how Twitter reacted.
Soldado scores. Soldado scores. This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill.

Glorious from Soldado! That was such a difficult ball to hit. Seconds after playing a lovely pass to Chadli too. Great start! #COYS

Our £17m midfielder assists our £26m striker. If I told you they were both second string, would you believe me? #THFC

More you see that the better it gets. @R9Soldado just guides it in, doesn't try to hit it too hard. Perfection.
