Mauricio Pochettino has rung the changes for Tottenham’s first Europa League match of the season with Son Heung-Min making his home debut.
The South Korean international played for around an hour at Sunderland last weekend but is yet to feature at White Hart Lane. Meanwhile, Kevin Wimmer and Kieran Trippier make their full debuts for the club.
Surprisingly, Hugo Lloris starts in goal instead of Michel Vorm. Andros Townsend and Erik Lamela start after impressive cameos at the Stadium of Light.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the team news.
TEAM NEWS: It's a #THFC debut for both @kevin28wimmer and @trippier2. #COYS pic.twitter.com/BGDCcAmTJ0

Surprised to see Alderweireld & Dier start and a shame to see no Clinton in the XI. At least we're not being complacent. #COYS

Decent team good to see Wimmer & Trippier get a start & N'Jie on the bench #COYS

I preferred a stronger line up but as long we win the game, then Poch will be vindicated. Europa is the priority, IMO.

Also, take it Pritch isn't fit? Wonder which left-footer will be wide left. & I'm hoping Rose just needs games rather than being 2nd choice.

Kevin Wimmer hat-trick tonight I reckon

Interesting to see how Son does tonight. It's also Lamela's chance to impress #EuropaLeague #COYS

Would quite enjoy having a peak at what Son looks like floating around between the lines at false nine – Alli should eat that space up #COYS

We certainly resting a few. Hopefully Son can get use to our system and have a good game tonight. Glad to see Trippier play as well #COYS

How are people saying that is a weak lineup? Other than Mason/Nabil or Kane out, I'm not worried.excited to c Wimmer & Trippier play

Trippier looked very good during #THFC pre-season campaign however Walker seems ahead of him in Pochettino's mind, good opportunity tonight.

Well pleased with that #THFC team. Trippier/Wimmer to start with Onomah and Clinton on the bench! Shame there's no Pritchard. Injured?
