After a one-sided first half at Villa Park, Tottenham finally took the lead against Aston Villa through top scorer Harry Kane.
The striker was due a goal. Brad Guzan had kept him out three times before he finally struck.
Dele Alli should be commended for a piece of quick thinking. He took a quick free kick to put his teammate through on goal, and Kane made no mistake slotting home across Guzan with his left foot.
