While his more senior Spurs teammates were making the headlines with the full England side, Josh Onomah had a very successful week with the U19 team.

Onomah found the net in the win over Georgia last week and once more in the 2-0 victory against Spain last night.

The goals took Onomah’s total for the England U19 side to four in nine appearances. It’s a statistic that demonstrates how this area of his game is growing, after scoring only twice in his 25 caps for the England U16, U17 and U18 teams.

Having sporadically featured in cup games and as a Premier League substitute this season, it looks likely that Onomah could be the next homegrown Spurs player to become a regular starter. Watch his goal against Spain below.

  2. I think ‘Joseph’ is probably not a mercenary minded Nigerian trying to rub in how stupid and lax are government are, more likely an English bloke sick of working for others,.. That said, I wouldn’t be that surprised if it was! .. No offence meant at any Nigerians, or anyone else really,. Except perhaps multiple governments since that twat Blair, for not having proper, stringent rules on immigration,.. Murdered someone in Eastern Europe? No skills and don’t speak the language? Hate our way of life and want to blow us up while being given money from Uk citizens for you to live on? Get in here, you’re more than welcome!
