France Football have claimed that Spurs are in talks to sign the Rennes forward Ousmane Dembele this summer.
The 18-year old has been a sensation in Ligue 1 this season, scoring 12 goals in 22 appearances. This is reported to have attracted the attention of European giants such as Barcelona and Bayern Munich.
It was recently revealed that Tottenham tried to sign Dembele last summer for just £1.2m, only for the move to fall through after the club requested that the player first undergo a one week trial at his own expense.
Having failed to show sufficient commitment last summer it may be a tough call for Spurs to persuade Dembele to move to London, especially considering the interest in other parties.
Yet the deal might at least still be affordable, with L’Equipe suggesting that Dembele has a buyout clause of just €5m. Watch him in action below.
