The Marseille manager Franck Passi has confirmed that Spurs target Michy Batshuayi will leave the club in the summer.

Passi told Le 10 Sport, “I think everyone knows he will leave. It is included in the specifications that Michy will leave.”

Batshuayi has scored 22 goals for Marseille this season, attracting the interest of several of Europe’s top clubs, including some of Tottenham’s Premier League rivals.

Stoke City had a £28.1m bid for the forward turned down in January, which gives you an idea of the sort of figure that Spurs will have to pay, with Arsenal and West Ham also interested.

Another complication is Batshuayi being called up to Belgium’s Euro 2016 squad. It’s unlikely that any deal will be done this side of the tournament, with it being in Marseille’s interest to wait to see if he can make an impact on the international stage. Ideally we’d see Tottenham land a forward early on in the transfer window, having waited all last summer for one to arrive, only to be disappointed.

So is Batshuayi the man at a price that looks likely to be north of £30m? Watch him in action below.
