Reports from Italy claim that Spurs are interested in signing the Shakhtar Donetsk winger Marlos.

The 27-year old had a breakthrough season with Shakhtar Donetsk last season, scoring 12 goals and assisting a further 15. This has supposedly caught the attention of Inter Milan, with Tottenham the rumoured rival for the Brazilian’s services.

Rated at north of £10m, the 5ft 8″ playmaker generally starts on the right for Shakhtar, but is also able to play on the left or in a central role behind the striker.

Spurs have been consistently linked to players who might be able to provide some competition for the favoured attacking midfield trio of Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Erik Lamela. Marlos would certainly add pace and dribbling ability to the squad, with this goal against Dynamo Kiev from 2014, perfectly showcasing those talents.
