The news broke last night that AZ Alkmaar had accepted a bid from Spurs for Vincent Janssen and now we’re all waiting for the signing to be made official.
It doesn’t seem as if we’ll be twiddling our thumbs for too long. Janssen was pictured leaving AZ’s training ground today complete with suitcase, ready to fly to London to tie up the deal.

The fee is rumoured to be between €20m and €22m. Janssen has turned down possible moves to Paris St-Germain and more understandably West Ham, as he patiently waited for Tottenham to make an acceptable bid.
Let’s hope this one gets over the line soon to put Spurs fans out of their misery. After all, the last striker the club signed was Roberto Soldado back in August 2013 and some back-up for Harry Kane has been a long time coming.
That picture of Janssen is from May 2016. I must be the only person who checked that last night, as everyone seems to be posting it on Spurs pages. Here’s the proof. http://www.omroepbrabant.nl/?news%2F2496641153%2FDoelpuntenmachine+Vincent+Janssen+staat+in+de+belangstelling+van+liefst+tien+clubs.aspx
Seems to be a different occasion. He’s wearing a different t-shirt. Unless he got changed en route to the airport, of course…
I just noticed that about 5 minutes ago, MattS.
About bloody time; it took long enough to conclude.Welcome to WHL Mr. Janssen.
