Newcastle have completed the signing of DeAndre Yedlin from Spurs.

It’s thought that the Magpies have paid a fee in the region of £5m for the right-back, who is also able to play as a winger.

The USA international impressed while on-loan at Sunderland, but faced intense competition for the right-back slot at Tottenham, where England’s Kyle Walker is covered by the likes of Kieran Trippier and the highly-rated youngster Kyle Walker-Peters.

Yedlin joins the like of Federico Fazio and Alex Pritchard in leaving the club this summer and reports claim that Nabil Bentaleb will soon follow in their footsteps.

Bild report that Bentaleb has passed a medical with Schalke and that his season-long loan deal will be announced tomorrow. The deal is said to include a compulsory buyout clause which will be automatically triggered when certain parameters are met. Bild had claimed that this figure would be £17.1m, but now it’s being reported as £16.1m.
