The teams for some of our fixtures this season have largely picked themselves, but Mauricio Pochettino has some real decisions to make ahead of the trip to Stoke.

These start in goal, where Hugo Lloris could return in place of Michel Vorm, who has been excellent so far this season. In the back four there will also be changes, with the injured Danny Rose being replaced by Ben Davies.

It is the midfield area that offers the biggest conundrum. Does Pochettino stick with the very solid but somewhat uninspiring combination of Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama, or draft Dele Alli or Moussa Sissoko into midfield?

Sissoko faced a fitness test on Friday and is also a candidate to replace Erik Lamela in the attacking midfield positions, as the Argentine flew back on Thursday after clocking up 14,000 miles while on international duty.

Up front there is also the issue of whether to pair Harry Kane and Vincent Janssen again, or to leave one fresh for the Champions League match with Monaco in midweek.

Here’s our Spurs side to face Stoke. What’s yours?

  1. Vorm, Trippier, Wimmer. Alserweireld, Davies, Wanyama, Sissoko, (DM, CM), Eriksen, Alli, Son (AM), Janssen (ST), With Champions League football on Wednesday, Spurs needs to be able to beat lower teams like Stoke while resting key players like Kane, Dier, Walker, Hugo, and Lamela. If we can’t beat a team like Stoke with this lineup then how can we hope to compete for trophy’s?

    • I agree but beating lower placed teams is not so easy in the Premiership, remember it’s the EPL not France or La Liga Lamela was in South America this week so I’m sure Poch won’t play him, Son needs a run of games, Sissoko will get his 1st game I think, on a real POSITIVE note the BEAST DEMBELE is back next week. I think we’ll be ok 2day just need to score early.

  2. The lower is good but i think that you should switch place on sissoko and Eriksen, and then switch on sissoko and dele alli, and switch out sissoko to tom carrol. Because then you have a strong lower cm and a strong attack.
