Mauricio Pochettino continues to surprise Tottenham fans with his team selections. This week he’s decided against a striker altogether, opting instead for Heung-Min Son to lead the line.
The in-form South Korean could potentially rotate with the side’s other attacking midfielders as the hosts look to counter-attack a strong Manchester City outfit.
In other news, Danny Rose returns at left back, and Eric Dier is on the bench. Mousa Dembele misses out, but Moussa Sissoko starts.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to all the team news.

Again hoping its Sissoko alongside Wanyama. Real shame no Dier or Dembele though. https://t.co/zpD9XuqNx4

Got to be a 4-1-4-1 with Wanyama sitting. Loving Son up top can break much quicker now than with Janssen up top #COYS

Not concerned about Son up front for Spurs as think he's shown how good he can be in final third. Massive game for Sissoko though.

Big decision by Poch to drop Janssen and play Son upfront. I wasn't impressed with Sissoko last time. Hopefully he does better today. #COYS

Not surprised Janssen has been dropped. We looked a completely different team when he went off against CSKA #COYS

#thfc We'll get a good idea of how strong Spurs' squad is today. Kane, Dier & Dembele were the three most important players last season.

#thfc Interesting call to play Son up front. His threat has largely come from the left but then his goal in Moscow was through the middle.

Quite happy with Son up front, his energy pressing a still shaky City back 4 will be useful. Surprised Poch didn't go Dier-Wanyama.

Weird decision from Poch but I'll reserve my judgement. Hopefully we can get all the three points. #COYS
