  1. Poch has lost the plot with the centre back situation. What is wrong with Wimmer? Played well when he stood in for Vertongan last season and I really rate him. Dier has gone off the boil at the moment and if I was Wimmer or Carter Vickers, I would be asking questions. COYS

  2. Wimmer is a left sided CB and to be utilized efficiently in Poch’s system he needs to be used in that role. Its either Jan or Wimmer. Toby’s cover will be the right sided Dier or CCV

  3. We have a good selection of centre backs at the moment including those Mike has mentioned.
I am happy to leave it to Poch to decide who plays – he sees them every day in training after all !

We can’t afford to let our better players (Dier included) fall by the wayside if they “go off a bit” for a game or two. Dier is also a player in consideration for senior England games. He has earned that reputation whereby Wimmer and Carter-Vickers are behind Dier in that respect.

  4. We are lucky to have Winner, any PL team would welcome him,he was brilliant when Yan was out last season on numerous occasions,he must be used before we lose him

  5. I think Jan is heavily dependent on Toby and as such his place should not be automatic without him. Team is chosen on training ground data rather than form or opposition. hence Lamela is in and Nkoudou not on bench.
