Despite a good start at Stamford Bridge, Tottenham threw away a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 against Chelsea, a defeat that marks the end of Spurs’ unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men were the better side in the first half and took advantage of their strong start when Christian Eriksen lashed home a cracking opener on ten minutes.

Pedro equalised just before the break with a goal of similar quality before Victor Moses bagged the winner early in the second half.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to the result and performance.

  1. Look fella’s, get real. We were never going to win this game, no matter how well we played. We have no world class players, except Lloris. And we do not have a leader anywhere in the team. And we never will, until the penny finally drops with Levy, that we have to pay what world class players are worth. The Aguero’s, Hazard’s, Ozil’s of this world, earn twice as much as we are ready to pay. Until we offer the same, and can entice such players to The Lane, we’ll continue to be in the shadow of the top four!!
