Tottenham beat Aston Villa 2-0 at White Hart Lane to book their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
The hosts weren’t at their best for most of the contest, managing just one shot in the first half.
Villa threatened an upset at times in the second half, but the introduction of Dele Alli and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou eventually changed things.
Nkoudou’s cross was headed home by Ben Davies with 20 minutes to go — the Welshman’s first goal for the club. Heung-Min Son sealed the win moments later with Spurs’ second.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the result and performance.

Trippier is a fantastic professional. Great attitude, works hard, and always performs when he's called upon. Love it.

6 wins in a row that now, wonder if the media will make any mention of that.

N'Koudou looked good when he came on. Nice to have some pace for once #TOTAVL #COYS

Switch to 4-2-3-1 changed the game. Dele looked a level above not of his teammates and GKN added spark. Winks my MOTM comfortably. #COYS

2 goals, clean sheet and a place in tomorrow night's 4th round draw. Job done. Onwards

Not a great game but through and that's all that counts. Winks was superb. Nkoudou was I'm impressive off the bench. Janssen is a worry.

N'Koudou performed quite well when he came on & played a role in both the goals scored. We need to use him more. Offers something different.
