When Georges-Kevin N’Koudou arrived from Marseille last summer there was a sense of excitement at Tottenham. After the failure of Clinton N’Jie, who joined Marseille on loan, Spurs fans thought they had made an upgrade in the shape of N’Koudou.

The Frenchman was expected to play a significant part as a squad player who could add pace and directness when needed. But Mauricio Pochettino has barely used the winger.

In fairness, N’Koudou has impressed in (very) short spells. But it’s clear Mauricio Pochettino is not keen to use him regularly, suggesting the Tottenham manager was not eager to sign him in the first place.

And now The Mirror are reporting N’Koudou could be making a return to France at the end of the season, with Ligue 1 side Nantes reportedly interesting in signing him.

N’Koudou made his name at Nantes so it’s a rather obvious link. He could just as easily re-join Marseille if the club isn’t interested in signing N’Jie permanently.

The story also suggests Mauricio Pochettino is willing to give N’Koudou time to settle in England. Only time will tell whether or not that will happen.
