Christian Eriksen has been in fine form in 2017, finishing off the season with a string of scintillating displays for Tottenham.
And that form continued when the midfielder lined up for his native Denmark in a friendly against Germany at the Brøndby Stadium.
Eriksen scored a very Spurs-like goal to open the scoring for the hosts. Denmark pressed Germany into a mistake at the back and the ball fell to Eriksen, who smashed the ball home on the half-volley.
Germany later equalised and the match finished 1-1. But Eriksen will be pleased to have made his mark against one of the world’s best teams. Here’s the goal (via @TTTactics).
