Inter Milan are preparing a €15 million bid for Erik Lamela, who Tottenham are willing to sell for the right price, according to reports in Italy and Spain.
Earlier this month we relayed reports suggesting Inter are interested in signing Lamela.
The 25-year-old has been out of action with a hip injury since last October and is expected to be sidelined until this Semptember, at which point he will have been out for almost an entire year.
The Argentine joined his teammates for pre-season training but didn’t travel with the squad to the USA, remaining in north London to build his fitness.
But now, Italian publication Corriere Dello Sport and Spanish outlet Marca are both reporting that Inter are prepared to pay €15 million for Lamela.
However, it is believed Spurs will only listen to offers of €18 million and above for the Argentine.
Despite those stories, I think it’s unlikely Lamela will move on this summer. He would probably struggle to pass a medical at Inter, and he could be a useful squad player for Tottenham this term.
This doesn’t sound right to me. I can’t see that we’d let Lamela go for so little after what we paid.
Pure Italian rubbish no truth in this at all.
