Tottenham are set to sign Southampton goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga in a £2 million deal, according to The Sun.

Gazzaniga has been a Southampton player since 2012, but spent last season on loan at La Liga club Rayo Vallecano.

Mauricio Pochettino knows the 25-year-old from his time at St. Mary’s, and The Sun claims the Spurs boss wants to sign Gazzaniga to provide competition for Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm.

Gazzaniga has two years left on his contract with Southampton, so it is perhaps surprising that they are willing to let him go for such a small fee.

The Argentine put in a particularly impressive display for Vallecano against Murcia back in April.
