Chelsea left it late to win it at Tottenham, who had been the better side for the majority of the game at Wembley.

The visitors took the lead in first half. Marcos Alonso stepped up for a free-kick and curled the ball over the wall and past the left hand of Hugo Lloris into the top corner.

Spurs huffed and puffed throughout the second half, and the equaliser eventually came. Michy Batshuayi headed Christian Eriksen’s free-kick into his own goal.

The momentum was with Tottenham, but Chelsea broke forward and won it through Alonso. His strike somehow found its way past Hugo Lloris at the Frenchman’s near post.
