Tottenham are tracking the progress of BayerLeverkusen forward Kai Havertz, according to Sky Sports.

The 18-year-old is a Germany youth international and has already made over 30 appearances in the Bundesliga. Havertz has provided three assists so far this season.

Sky claims Spurs’ recruitment policy involves focusing scouting on “a number of specific clubs across Europe that similarly develop young players,” including Leverkusen, Hoffenheim and Monaco.

Ajax are also mentioned. Tottenham have four former Ajax players among their ranks, including record signing Davinson Sanchez who arrived this summer.

Spurs are also reportedly monitoring Ajax duo Donny van de Beek and Justin Kluivert.
