Gareth Bale is said to be “gutted” he is unable to play against Tottenham for Real Madrid in the Champions League this week.
Bale also missed the return leg at the Bernabeu, and he is yet to face his former club in a competitive fixture since leaving in the summer of 2013.
According to The Independent, friends of the Welshman have revealed he is “gutted” not to be playing.
Recent reports in the Spanish press that Bale could leave Madrid and return to England next summer, but rumours suggesting he could rejoin Tottenham are mere speculation at this moment in time.
Meanwhile, Spurs are being linked with a move for another La Liga player.
