On social media, Spurs fans often urge Mauricio Pochettino to pick the 19-year-old attacking midfielder despite the fact Edwards has made just one competitive appearance for the club.
That says something about the glimpses of the teenager supporters have gotten – he particularly caught the eye during Tottenham’s pre-season campaign in the summer of 2016.
Edwards almost left the club on loan in the summer but decided to stay in a bid to break into the first team.
However, The Guardian claims Pochettino has decided a Championship loan is the best thing for Edwards at this stage of his development. It will be interesting to see how he does at Norwich.
Meanwhile, Cameron Carter-Vickers has returned to Spurs following a loan spell with Sheffield United.
