Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane have all been included in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

Tottenham are the second-most represented club in the XI, which includes five Manchester City players and one each from Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Vertonghen has undeniably been one of the best centre-backs in the country this season and more than deserves his place in the team.

Despite a dip in form late last year, Eriksen has been superb for the most part this term – there won’t be many arguments against his inclusion.

Kane, too, is worthy of recognition after scoring 26 goals in 33 league appearances this season.

It’s hard to say if any other Spurs players have been hard done by. Ben Davies has been consistent throughout the campaign and perhaps has a case against Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso.

Heung-Min Son has enjoyed another fine season, although Sergio Aguero’s 21 goals for a title-winning side justify his place in the team.
