Tottenham may not have played their last Premier League game at Wembley, according to the Mail.

Spurs played all 19 of their home league matches at Wembley last season while the construction of the new White Hart Lane-based stadium takes place.

They are expected to return to north London for the 2018/19 campaign, but doubts have been raised over whether the new stadium will be ready in time for the new season.

Tottenham are likely to play their first few league matches of next term away from home regardless of whether they will play their home games at the new stadium.

However, the Mail claims there is a chance Spurs will be forced to play at least a few of next season’s home league games at Wembley.

The FA have apparently extended the deadline for Tottenham to decide whether they will stay at the national stadium.

Premier League rules require teams to play all of their home matches at the same location throughout the campaign, but that could be changed on this occasion.

Spurs and their fans will want to move into the new stadium as soon as possible in order to avoid extending the club’s current transitional period.
