Robbie Keane has heaped praise on Tottenham star Harry Kane, labelling the striker England’s “talisman” ahead of the World Cup finals in Russia this summer.
Kane scored 41 goals in 48 games across all competitions for Spurs in 2017-18 and has been handed the captain’s armband for the World Cup by England manager Gareth Southgate.
Keane, who made over 250 appearances for Tottenham in two different spells with the club, was speaking to the Hayters TV ahead of his participation in Soccer Aid this weekend.
As well as talking up Kane, the former Republic of Ireland international suggested Spurs are on the verge of “something big” after Mauricio Pochettino signed a new five-year contract.
