Tottenham have made a £15 million offer for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish, according to Sky Sports.

Grealish scored three goals in 27 league appearances last season as Villa reached the Championship play-off final only to lose against Fulham.

Last week, reports emerged claiming Spurs have made the 22-year-old a “prime summer target”.

Now, Sky Sports claims the Londoners have lodged a bid of £15 million for Grealish.

Villa narrowly avoided the threat of administration last week, but apparently they will not be forced to cash in on Grealish this summer to avoid further financial troubles.

Grealish is close friends with Dele Alli and it is believed he would be keen to work under Mauricio Pochettino, given the Argentinian’s track record with developing young English talent.

Pochettino has reportedly been handed increased transfer funds this summer, and Grealish is said to be on his list of targets.

However, Tottenham face competition from Chelsea, Fulham and Leicester City.

Grealish would function as deputy for Christian Eriksen more than anything else, but that’s not a bad thing – Spurs have been crying out for more creativity in the final third in recent seasons.
