Tottenham are expecting a big-money offer from Inter Milan for Mousa Dembele, according to football.london.

Dembele has just one year left on his contract and is expected to leave Spurs in the coming weeks – he has been heavily linked with a move to either Italy or China.

Inter Milan have been mooted as his most likely destination.

A number of contrasting reports have cropped up in recent weeks, some suggesting Inter have already made offers, others claiming they are willing to include a player in any deal for Dembele.

Last week, a report claimed the Serie A club have hired an intermediary agent in order to tempt Tottenham to lower their asking price, which is thought to be around £26 million.

Now, football.london reports Inter have avoided a breach of Financial Fair Play regulations and are ready to begin their summer spending, starting with an approach for Dembele.

The 30-year-old put in a solid display for Belgium against England at the World Cup, which certainly won’t have put Inter off.

It will be interesting to see if Spurs make one last push to keep hold of Dembele by putting a new contract on the table.
