Tottenham have made an offer in the region of £44 million for Borussia Dortmund teenager Christian Pulisic, according to reports in Germany.

Spurs were linked with a move for Pulisic earlier this summer but those rumours receded when the winger’s father revealed no decision has been made over his son’s future.

Since then, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United have all been credited with an interest in the USA international.

But according to German outlet Kicker (via TEAMtalk), Tottenham have attempted to steal a march on the rest of Pulisic’s suitors by making a bid of €50 million (around £44m).

At just 19, Pulisic has already made 97 appearances for Dortmund across all competitions, including 42 in 2017-18, in which he scored five goals.

He has also scored nine goals in 21 appearances for the USA national team after making his debut as a 17-year-old.

Pulisic has been one of the most sought-after young players in Europe in recent years, and signing him would certainly be a coup for Spurs.

It’s difficult to tell whether Kicker’s story is reliable – until other outlets report similar, we’re filing this one under speculation.
