Tottenham striker Vincent Janssen is expected to seal a season-long loan move to Fenerbahce by the end of the week, according to reports in Turkey.

Janssen spent last season on loan at Fenerbahce and has been heavily linked with a return, although there have reportedly been disputes between the Turkish club and Spurs over a loan fee.

That now seems to have been resolved. On Tuesday, Sky Sports reported that Fenerbahce and Tottenham were in talks over a deal for the striker.

Janssen was left at home for Spurs’ pre-season tour of America, with Mauricio Pochettino revealing the 24-year-old is surplus to requirements and isn’t in his plans for the coming season.

Now, Turkish outlet Skor Sozcu (via Sport Witness) claims a loan deal has been agreed and the move should be completed by the end of the week.

It’s likely Janssen has played his last game for Tottenham. After failing to make a mark in his debut season in England followed by an injury-hit campaign at Fenerbahce, the Dutchman clearly hasn’t done enough to impress Pochettino.

Meanwhile, Fernando Llorente’s future at Spurs remains uncertain.
