Reported Tottenham target Wilfried Zaha wants to join Chelsea after telling his teammates he is determined to leave Crystal Palace, according to the Mirror.
Zaha has been a long-term target for Spurs with Mauricio Pochettino said to be a huge fan – he has been linked with a switch across London in each of the last five transfer windows.
The 25-year-old’s stock has risen considerably over the last 12 months after a string of fine performances in the 2017/18 campaign, and Tottenham have inevitably been linked with another swoop for the winger.
However, the Mirror now claims Zaha wants to join Chelsea before the Premier League’s August 9th transfer deadline.
The former Manchester United man has apparently turned down a new contract and informed his Palace teammates of his intention to leave Selhurst Park.
Chelsea and Manchester City have been linked with Zaha in the past, but a move to Stamford Bridge would come as a surprise given the amount of reports mooting a switch to Spurs in recent times.
Tottenham are yet to make a signing this summer, although there is plenty of talk about an imminent deal for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish.
