Mousa Dembele has no plans to hold talks with Tottenham over a new contract, according to the Sun.

The midfielder has entered the final 12 months of his current deal and will be a free agent at the end of the season – in January he will be able to speak to foreign clubs about a summer move.

The Sun believes Dembele was a summer target for Inter Milan but the Serie A giants were unwilling to pay Spurs’ £26 million valuation, a big fee for a player in the final year of his contract.

What’s more, the report claims the 31-year-old turned down multiple offers from across Europe in the summer, opting to play out his final year at Tottenham instead of moving abroad.

There has also been interest from China, where it is believed Dembele is prioritising a move to.

The former Fulham star is currently sidelined with a thigh injury but could make a timely return when Spurs face West Ham United after the upcoming international break.
