The agent of Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente has contacted La Liga club Real Betis over a possible move for his client, according to reports in Spain.

Llorente, who is out contract at the end of the current season, continues to struggle for first-team minutes at Spurs and has been vocal about his desire to return to Spain.

He was recently linked with Leeds United and his former club Athletic Bilbao, but Real Betis are said to be the latest potential buyers.

Spanish outlet ABC claims Llorente’s agent has been in touch with Betis to see if they would be interested in taking the 33-year-old in January.

However, it is believed Betis aren’t keen on Llorente, although they are flattered he would be eager to join them.

The Spaniard has scored just six goals for Tottenham since arriving from Swansea City in the summer of 2017.

He has failed to provide adequate cover and competition for Harry Kane and will almost certainly leave north London either in January or next summer.
