Athetlic Bilbao striker Inaki Williams has said “all good players” would be “welcome” to join the Spanish club in January amid suggestions Fernando Llorente could leave Tottenham next month.

Earlier this week, Llorente revealed he would be open to re-joining Bilbao in the winter transfer window if a deal can be struck.

Mauricio Pochettino claims talks are yet to take place regarding Llorente’s future. The striker is out of contract at the end of the current season.

And Williams, who currently leads the line for Bilbao, has welcomed the idea of Llorente returning to La Liga.

“All good players are welcome to join the team,” Williams told Spanish outlet AS (via FourFourTwo).

“Right now, though, we are focused on winning the match [against Deportivo Alaves] on Monday.”

Llorente has found the net just six times in all competitions since joining Spurs from Swansea City in the summer of 2017.

The 33-year-old made over 300 appearances for Bilbao in his first spell at the club and could find himself linking up at San Mames again in the new year.

It will be interesting to see whether Pochettino would pursue further cover and competition for Harry Kane in January if Llorente is allowed to leave.
